Evaluation

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

To begin with my final product challenges forms and conventions of real media products by focusing on different points that in most cases don't seem to be addressed. My whole A2 project has been solely focusing on anti-bullying throughout my very first post. Bullying is a really massive topic on it's own. It's something that all of us subconsciously can commit. I straight away knew that this was something that I wanted to produce as soon as I heard that I'll be creating a music video for my A2 Media Studies. I was really pleased with this because it gave me a chance to create something unique and different to promote a stop to bullying. As I've may already mentioned in my earlier posts that I was inspired by two specific Korean Dramas that I watched in 2015. Both of the story concepts are on bullying and we get to see the cruel side of bullying but, ultimately I found that there was something missing from the pieces of media texts that I was consuming. So after completing the dramas I decided to look more into the situations of bullying. I was seeking out for something that can give me an answer to what that missing piece could possibly be. Then suddenly after creating spider diagrams and thinking of what that missing piece could be it came to me. What a lot of these bullying dramas contain that are very alike to each other is the fact that they always make the main protagonist physically and mentally weak. As I got more into it and thought deeply about the situation I figured out that there's something that these weak characters have in common throughout both of the Korean dramas. Ever since then I decided that I have to produce content that is the polar opposite to these situations in these Korean Dramas. That's how I came about creating a music video promoting anti-bullying and that benefits and help those facing these difficulties.

Usually in real life media texts the victims are never being able to stand up for themselves and that I believe has to change. I wanted to be the first one to create something that no one has ever come up with or what I believe so to be. You can see how detail I go with my project by looking at the end results. Firstly you see my main victim Caxie getting verbally and physically abused throughout majority of the music video. It's really sad and emotional to see and what tops it even more is the fact that the music composed is not your ordinary composition. If I was to be honest it's very different because the instrumental is by far so good and lyrics that I wrote are so powerful and different. The reason I say this is because the lyrics are often forgotten in many songs and the instrumental can sometimes take all the glory. However, in this situation it's different because both of them are very well co-operated so it brings a different flavor to the table. I want to thoroughly talk about conventions that are often used in this topic. Now a lot of the times we would see media texts about anti-bullying showing the stereotypical elements of things in which someone is getting harmed in different formats. In my final product you do see the same element of someone being harassed and being treated very unjustly but at the process of creating my music video I was thinking about ways to move away from that element. However, the more I thought about it I realized that the element of someone being a victim of something has to be shown in the music video. This is simply because without having that basic element inside of the music video would look weird. That is what links up Justnara, Fifi, and Yvana. Thinking from the target audiences perspective they would want something very easy and catchy to the eye. In order for something to automatically grab the attention spam you need something that can without any hesitation draw your target audience in. This is why without any doubt I decided that this criteria had to be met.

My music video is on a hip-hop song and in hip-hop music videos you would usually see loads of stereotypical conventions like money, half to almost naked woman and cars. However, my music video totally breaks conventions and boundaries as I completely make my music video for educational purposes. The reason why the media wouldn't do what I done is because they have a fixed idea of what hip-hop music video nowadays represents and the target audience group it's being aimed at associates with. The whole situation in my music video is creating awareness of bullying and this is so out of the norm as the media would never in most cases release something that completely changes the way hip-hop is viewed as. Everything in my final product from situation, location, themes, and story concept goes against the fixed idea of forms and conventions created over the years for hip-hop music.

To begin with my music video breaks conventions and boundaries of hip-hop music videos as my locations are entirely different to what you would usually see in hip-hop music videos. I chose a school and park with no dancers behind me but two of the characters playing as bullies behind me conveying loads of different unsettling facial expressions. In mainstream hip-hop music videos there would always be dancers and visually appealing locations but in my music video it completely destroys that perception. I did this because I wanted the target audience group that my music video is being aimed at to actually look clearly at what the music video is displaying as well as listen to the lyrics of my song. If I had beautiful oceans and landscapes with dancers dancing behind me it would subtract the whole idea.

As for filming every shot that I took and cut together were really nice and simple. Nothing about them is complicated as I didn't use a camera rig, stabilizer, dolly or any other essential equipment used for mainstream music videos in the media. Everything in my music video was done by tripod and handheld. The reason why I wanted it to be really simple shots is so that I can make the cuts really fast and sharp so that it goes with my music perfectly. Also you don't need complicated shots to make a music video look really attractive and appealing to your target audience group. The media wouldn't in most cases do this because it goes against everything they've created rules for.

Overall everything about my final product goes against the ideal media product for mainstream television as it breaks so many conventions and boundaries. From my view point I would never see the media release a product like mine as it's totally different and gives a complete opposite insider to hip-hop music videos to what the media portrays of hip-hop music videos and hip-hop music in general. I always like to create products that have a positive message and something that's not trending.

2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

I believe that the combination of my main product and ancillary texts are very effective. You can immediately see everything linking together which makes it a strong case. Not only do I focus on the OCR side of things but I include my
own research. There's only so much you can do following one set of text so therefore, I wanted to introduce some of my own originality. Also, to go even more in-depth into making my final outcome look extremely well established I had to do extra work. I really enjoyed working on this project because it is such a strong topic to express and also I have a lot of contacts who are interested in spreading positive messages. So if I was to rate how effective the combination of my main product and ancillary text are out of 10 it would be a strong 9-10 because I focus on all aspects of my work and not just one. If you go look back at my very first post up until my very last you can see how well developed everything is, and you'll be able to spot all of the extra research that I put into making this music video.

3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

From my audience feedback I have learnt that everyone believes in justice. From the feedback that I received I've noticed that everyone understands that bullying is wrong and it should be stopped without hesitation. However, at the same time I say this I have also learnt that it depends on what audience group you give the survey to. I'm pretty sure that there are people out there who believe that bullying isn't wrong. Even so I'm glad that everyone was on the same page because it's just lovely to know that there are people out there who know that bullying shouldn't happen at all. That's the main thing that I have learnt from my audience feedback. On the other side I have learnt a lot of interesting facts and figures and even quotes throughout this whole year. I'm actually really pleased about my A2 it was such fun working on this project with my little team. I have also learnt that I work really fast and am dedicated to whatever projects I'm on. The one thing that really interested me from the audience feedback is when some of the audience group answered some of the questions with really good concept ideas. Some of them I really liked and was planning to input them somehow to the media text but I decided to go with my ideas instead. Audience feedback has such an importance in shaping the final product as institutions such as myself would need to know what target audience group my final product is being aimed at want. By understanding what the target audience group I'm aiming my final product to want helps a lot in the research and planning for my final product because I can then essentially use ideas my target audience group want in my final product to satisfy their needs and this is why audience feedback is so significant in my product because it helped me have an understanding of what they would like to see from this music video based on bullying.

4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

As you can see throughout my blog I used many different and creative ways to produce my media texts. For example, I done a podcast, I made posters, I made plenty of videos, talk shows everything you name it. I love establishing my work by using all methods possible. I been making YouTube videos and music videos even before I started doing Media. This meant that I already knew what to do and how things would play out. With the use of technology I been able to do so much for my media studies as I was able to connect to my target audience group and other groups which has allowed me to develop my research even more than what I can gather just by myself without the help of technology. I was able to understand my target audiences opinions as well what other groups think. The results that I got from a lot of my target audience groups and other groups really pleased me because they agreed with what I was creating awareness of. As you should know by now my whole blog has been based on anti-bullying and with the use of technologies it is a vital part to have as technologies allow me to create this awareness. Furthermore, technology has allowed me to obtain worldwide information based on anti-bullying. If it wasn't for technology we wouldn't have this information or media texts that convey different stereotypes. I'm usually the type of person that get's more of my influence from media texts that I enjoy. In this case it was my Korean School Dramas which gave me the big push to make a stop to bullying. Constructing this music video has been absolutely a delight as I introduced shocking scenes like an egg being cracked on one of the casts head. When this particular scene was shown to some of the younger students as well as the teachers it really opened up their eyes even more. Bullying is something that no one in the world should have to feel they have to go through for no reason whatsoever. It is never the correct way to solve a situation.

The beautiful thing about technology is that it doesn't just help us obtain worldwide information about anything that we desire. Technology has advanced so much now that we have applications like Adobe Sweets which help us to construct our own music video and imagery. However, you have to study the application to understand how to create music videos and imagery. Thanks to technology I am able to use these beautiful applications to create music videos and imagery! Alongside with music. I can create so many music video as it's just something that I find natural to me and extremely fun.

Also, I helped other groups in my media class with behind the scenes of their music videos as I was working by myself because I tend to do everything so I can now say that I did work with a group part time. Here's a video of me and one of the groups that I helped talking about their music video and answering the evaluation questions for it as well as a clean snap shot.

Bevin video in Anti Bullying Campaign

After finishing my final product much earlier than anticipated. Me and one of my external team members, Justnara, talked about loads of different ways to promote the product. All of them were to do with getting it noticed by different institutions and important people. The first big thing that had happened was that the video got noticed by an anti-bullying campaign, and few days later became the number 1 video on their homepage. As that was being worked upon Ernest Bevin College and I was negotiating as they found out about my work. 2 weeks later the anti-bullying music video with a strong message got onto three different sections of the Ernest Bevin College website. The most important section that it got is on their homepage right in the center of all there articles. This is an awesome thing for both the school, anti-bullying campaign and for me because all three of us are getting something out of it one way or another.

I've finished my final product before we was meant to ideally start shooting for the music video. However, in my case because my idea was covering a very important and a worldwide topic. Also, because I have a few actresses in my care that my project was moving quicker due to us generally being hardworking people. The final product was completed a few months before it's official due date. Anyway, it was published on the 1st of January 2016. It already has 200+ views and one of the actresses I was working with, Justnara Zaman is connected to a publisher for the anti-bullying-community. (abc) He absolutely loved the music video so much that he put it on the homepage! Now that is really amazing considering the music video has only been out for 3 days. The music video is a really creative and bubbly way to create awareness of bullying. "No one really wants to read a newsletter or leaflet about bullying. Although, it is still good to create awareness by using them, a music video is a much better way to inform a mass audience

PS: One thing that I did with this project that wasn't part of the criteria for my A2 Media Studies, was that I included external materials which I produced all based around creating awareness of bullying. This wasn't something that I had to do but I chose to do it because I love creating content for my YouTube channel, so I thought to myself since I'll be working on this topic for a whole year why not produce a pack of content for my A2 Media Studies? With that came a lot of new material such as the first one which was a little 3 episode series type thingy. It involved me asking people in my team what they thought about bullying etc. I also worked on a documentary on one of my cast who actually was bullied in the past. So I got an exclusive story from her and how she felt and why she thought that happened. Whilst I was asking her about her story I also did ask her about her thoughts on how she feels working with other girls and playing the bullying role. She was so excited to meet them! After that I made a video after every single shoot that me and my cast did. The reason why we did it was because we wanted to make a lot of memories so no matter where and what we do in the future we have all of these videos to watch back and remember quality times.

Poster Analysis Part 1

The first poster is of the boy pop group Big Bang has all of the members looking depressed. You can notice this by their facial expressions especially the one with the orange hair. In this poster you can't see the name of their album. Although, fans would probably be able to tell what album this poster is being promoted towards by the clothes they're wearing. The text in the centre of the poster is of their band name which is in bold text. Considering their band name being "Big Bang" making the text to be in all caps makes a lot of sense. I personally don't think that the text is taking too much of our attention. However, it is eye grabbing. Now because there is no album title or date of when this poster is available for purchase I'm guessing that this poster is not for promoting an album but the members of the band instead. Back to my first point of the group looking depressed. From one perspective of looking at the poster you can assume they look depressed. At the same time from another perspective you can also infer that the way the poster and images is styled out is refreshing. It gives you a sense of lifestyle. So in particular it could attract two different types of audiences. The images shots are really clear and of high quality.

The second poster is of a girl pop group Apink. In this particular poster the girls are posing in a different way forms and shape. Their facial expressions look more bubbly and fun. It looks really playful so it's extravagant and cool. At the bottom of the poster you can notice the name of all of the band members on the left to the band name. And on the right to the band name you can see the title of the album "LUV". This poster is very simple and affective. It gives you clear shots of these beautiful girls and their names, band name and album name. This poster will be appealing to many boys as well as girls. This style that Apink brings is very Uni like.

Poster Analysis Part 2

Okay, so I've decided to do something a bit different to what the task wanted me to do. I basically created several different posters and I splat them up into two groups. What this means is that you would see poster designs promoting creating awareness of bullying and then other posters hyping up the release of the music video. I done it like this because one thing that you should know about me is that I'm someone that goes beyond the task given at hand. I like to promote everything that I do and make it a bigger project. So that's what distinguishes the two groups of posters. Also, the style the posters were created in are totally different. For example, in the posters that are promoting creating awareness of bullying those posters are in a bigger template size in comparison to the ones hyping up the release date. Not to mention that the ones that are hyping up the release date of the music video are designed differently. We have watercolours to drawing styles of each of my cast. Whereas, the one promoting creating awareness of bullying is solely based on one cast member and literally kept natural as possible. The reason behind my methods are because I wanted to do different styles of promotions. These types of skills are always good to use if you have them and why not? Both of these styles of posters have different purposes but all of them chip in to get my target audience group attracted and talking about the music video even before it's out.

Album Artwork / Digipak

These are different parts to the digipak. I thought it would be nice to have the actresses face be placed in the middle section of my album set. As you can see these are three of the most important characters in the music video that represent the message I'm trying to get across to my target audience. We have the manipulative one, Justnara who has power over her friend physiologically. We then have the physical brute Fifi who is being bullied herself unconsciously without knowing it first hand. It's a very clever and intelligent method that a lot of clever students pursue just because they think more nowadays. This idea originated for me whilst watching a Korean school drama: Who Are You School 2015 which is fantastic and brilliant with the ways it shows students being bullied in their country. I wanted to add my own twist to it as they only scratched a bit of the idea they implanted. So I wanted to progress with the idea but in more depth to really reach the hearts of the people.

Fifi is character that is unaware of being bullied. However, is intensely bullying Caxie a honour student that is just clearly trying to focus on getting an excellent education and just generally wanting to learn more information about the world as we speak. During this period of bullying Caxie day after day in school it will naturally lead a student to deaths door. However, Caxie is no ordinary student. There's only so far you can take her until she will burst with emotions of how she's feeling about this problem.
Caxie is a honour student just wanting to be educated for family reasons. She has strong goals and wants to have a successful career and marriage life in the future. However, is currently being tested to the limits by Fifi and Justnara who just consider insulting her a joke and fun activity for them. Although, Caxie considers this wrong and unacceptable of anyone going to the extremes of cracking a raw egg on ones head and laughing about the situation. Caxie sets her mind at ease by confronting these bullies and telling them off. She clearly states to them that what they just did she isn't going to let slide by. However, considering Justnara is manipulative would she get much blame over the physical brute Fifi? You'll have to wait and see!

This is an album artwork that I designed for my song 'Reset'. I will be performing my own original song for my A2 Media Music Videos. I decided to go for a really artistic and creative look. I came up with different ideas to represent the meaning of the song. Some information about my song. 'Reset' is a song that I writ for a school life. Mainly picking out subjects that occur in every school. The very main topic I establish in this song is bullying. A very strong and sensitive subject that always happens. Mainly I'm speaking towards the females in this song rather than generalising the whole sector.  The whole point of the song is to create awareness of bullying, and you know point out the things that are from the victims perspective. It's a really powerful and positive song. Me and one of my female friends had debates over this topic and thought to ourselves that we should tackle this topic. And we thought music is a really great way to spread awareness of bullying. I rendered myself out from a recent photoshoot that I did with a company. I created multiple duplicates of myself on a masked layer, and contrasted myself with two other images that I took in my spare time. I used the darker colour in the picture which is green to represent the person who wants to reset the way they did things. Then the lighter colour which is white and light blue to represent the same person but living a much more lovable life. So it's basically the same person but set in different environments and backgrounds.

Synergy

Since the very start of my A2 blog I already knew what I wanted to do and how I was planning to go about it. As you can see for yourself there is so much synergy going on from my very first post all the way to my last post. I distinguished the title fonts from my final product to the digipak fonts because I wanted to give a lot more power to the digipak covers with a really bold font to emphasis braveness. I already plan to make my final product different to other creating awareness of bullying products out there. I already knew from day one that I wanted the victim to stand up for herself at the very end of the music video and let the bullies know that what they're doing to her is wrong. I've talked about this a lot on my blog posts about how the idea of creating awareness of bullying originated from my love for South Korean culture. Specifically talking it was the South Korean Drama Angry Mom and School 2015 which engaged me so much into using aspects from their culture and combined it with the London style. I felt like what South Korea had to offer is what the UK doesn't have. The funny thing about this is that I already had the song made beforehand which gave me the bigger advantage. I could've done extra work by showing how the song was created and what I had to do in order to make it sound that good with my teammates but I decided not to as everyone's time shifted.

Moreover, you can easily tell that there is synergy going on in my A2 blog with the South Korean culture implemented inside it by the template background design which has Korean characters saying the word "Reset" which is my songs name. Why I named it "Reset" was simply because the victim in my story is going through what she believes is hell to her and she wants to reset this whole scenario. It's like a time-leap she just wants to get out of that situation. This text correlates extremely well with my header design as it shows my victim in a rough state standing in-front of a broken up wall. The broken up wall convey's how she feels victimized and how her life is unhappy. Also, if you look at the header properly you would notice that the victim is not wearing any make-up and is revealing her spots which linkup with her first few shots in the music video where she looks really distressed. There was also a specific reason why I got oriental girls to be playing as the victims it's because I'm really fascinated by the whole oriental culture that I wanted to get people from that culture to play in my music video. I specifically focused my A2 blog on the females instead of a mixture because I felt like girls bullying other girls is weird. My conclusion is that there is synergy going on with every single post I put out. All of the images I released on this blog all linkup with what the blog is trying to explain as a whole as you would see the emotions of the victims and bullies. Also, the plain background with the text "Reset" shows that simplicity of the situation and infers how one can get out of that situation by simply standing up for themselves. I believe that from watching the final product first or looking at the blog first would automatically make you see how it's linking up with each other really well with the use of synergy.

Digipak Research x2

Unfortunately I couldn't find any digipaks on Korean artists which was a shame because I been analyzing and writing a lot about them in my previous posts. However, the KPOP style is the most linked to the song I created to perform. So I researched some existing digipak designs of artist Beyonce and Eminem which are close to the genre of music I'm performing and found out the codes and conventions used in them. The first one I researched was Beyonce's greatest hits and the second one I researched was one of Eminem's regular digipak. The first thing I noticed straight away from both digipak covers is the close up shot of the artist. Eminem has an angry expression on his face and Beyonce's posture is very demonic-looking. In Eminem's digipak his face has been masked by pills, which could suggest that the concept is about rehabilitation. Whilst on the other hand Beyonce's differs because it has Beyonce wearing the outfits of some of her hit songs. Considering the fact that the album is based on her hits you can understand that the concept of her wearing the outfits worn in her hit songs, (that goes for the music videos and the live performances) would make general sense in this case. In the front cover of Eminem's digipak you can see a mental patient sticker type thing on the bottom left which in fact looks like it is linked to the Eminem pill face effect. Throughout the whole of the digipak it has a lot of splatters of pill pieces in simple black background. A really interesting thing they done with Beyonce's greatest hits is that the actual CD itself isn't no ordinary CD. They made the CD look like a vinyl record. I found that interesting because it is her greatest hits album so there had to be a unique selling point about it. With Eminem's digipak of "Relapse" they used the mental sticker to state the title of the album, artist name and the producer of the album. It was a very clever way to promote the album concept and the artist/producer.

Now as for the clothing of Beyonce in her greatest hits digipak you can see that she is wearing very little clothes that shows off her very curvy body. Some would say that she is wearing less clothes because it shows of her elegant side. I think that as an artist her greatest hits outfits don't look promising as a role model figure to many of the girls around ages of 18-24 who are statistically shown on yougov as her biggest fans. However, younger girls than the ages of 18-24 would be influenced by this more. It is true that statistically females of ages 18-24 are her biggest fans but because she is globally known and because of multimedia publication anyone capable of using technology can access her music or listen/visually see her on the music channels on television. Babies and kids are influenced really quick by things. So objectively looking at it Beyonce's outfits won't project a positive message. However, would look amazingly good to girls of ages 18-24 and maybe higher.

The next artist and digipak I will analysing is singer Katy B with On A Mission. The front and back cover of the digipak is very simplistic. On the front we have Katy B standing on the road with both her hands inside her jean pockets. Her facial expression tells us that she's just seen someone that she use to date.  Alongside this we have g
reenish overlays mixing in with the colour purple to give us a sense of artistic or abstract feel. Maybe it can even connote the different ways she views life? Maybe she has a secret life? The back cover is even more simple because it has one background colour with a few textures. We see the album cover name in the centre of the back as the foreground. The font is very broken and agent like. Underneath the main title we have other information about copyright etc. Again the background for the back cover is very minimalistic style probably to infer the street life.

The next artist is Chipmunk who goes by the name Chip now. The album cover consists of a close up shot of Chip with both of his hands together as if he was praying or hoping. We can already connote from this that he is the main attraction.
Chip is considered the 50 Cent of UK. People would
usually suspect him to be affiliated with gang related
activities. However, in this case he is looking like a hero.
Even though he still contains similar elements to 50 he
isn't attended to look like a bad boy in this particular album cover as a rapper.
The disk itself contains the same element to Katy B's it's very simple. It's literally the back cover of Katy B's On A Mission but on a black background disk. The same case for the back of the album cover it continues with the simplicity. Maybe it was done for the purpose of informing the target audience that he want to evolve the rap game?

Reflection

I personally think my work from AS Media Studies in comparison to my work from A2 Media Studies shows a drastic change. I believe that in AS Media Studies I was getting used to the whole idea of blogging before even taking up Media as an A-Level I never used or heard of blogger if I'm honest. I was always used to filming and creating media texts as I pretty much used everything else other than Blogger. However, I realised that Blogger is actually really fun to use and is something beneficial to me now. My work from AS Media Studies was like the starting step for me even though I already knew how to do everything else it was definitely something new for me. In AS Media Studies I was pretty much playing around constantly with the settings and was always trying to find the best look for my eyes. In A2 Media Studies it was totally different because I clearly knew what I wanted to do from the very beginning. I believe that's what mostly shows the huge gap difference between the two.

Another factor that made my AS Media Studies and A2 Media Studies totally different from each other was the fact that the topic at hand is not the same. AS Media Studies was strictly focusing on creating an opening sequence for a film. On the other hand, A2 Media Studies was solely focusing on music videos. In my opinion creating an opening sequence for a film didn't interest me much. I don't know why but I felt like it wasn't the type of media text I'm really interested in creating. Whereas, music videos is something that I'm always interested in creating. My opinion can be biased because I'm a musician and I'm always use to music videos in general as I have to in order for my work to be promoted and as an upcoming future artist something that has to be met. So in A2 when I heard that the topic I would be doing for my last year of Media is music videos, I was really excited. You might be wondering why I would be excited to do something that I pretty much am always doing every 3-6 months or now and then. Well that's because I had my latest mini album released around the time I found out what I would be doing for year 13 in Media. It got me fired up because it meant that I can use time from one of my subjects to focus on one of my greatest songs.

I believe that as a person when you're interested in something specific whenever that arises you as a human being would have the natural instinct to want to do so much for that. Whereas, doing something that you aren't too keen on but you have to do it in order for you to just be flexible in the future or because you want a good grade at the end. You can clearly identify how much effort you actually put into the work if it was to be measured. That's how it was like for my AS to A2. I felt that AS didn't offer the topic that I desired to do the most in Media but A2 did. Looking back at my AS to A2 the level of effort I put is much more. You can easily notice this as I finished my A2 in 3-4 months and my AS I finished a month before the due date.

What made my A2 Media Studies really fun in comparison to my AS Media Studies was the fact that I got to do the topic that I wanted to do the most and because of that I created so much other work linking to the final product. Also, this year I wanted to work by myself just because it was a lot more easier for me. It was really fun because I had a big cast and it was absolutely delightful working with them. I got five actresses, two camera men and one assistance. We completely aced the shoots the way we had planned and all of us had a fantastic experience working together.

In my A2 Media Studies I got to do a lot more editing and that was because I had a big cast that I wanted to make other videos on but all based around my final product. Also, the assemblies that I did and other promotional works that were happening after. My A2 is just on a level of it's own compared to my AS.

In conclusion:

My AS Media Studies work was the beginning step for me. I was getting use to the whole idea of blogger and how it worked. I didn't put as much as effort into making the visuals look top notch. However, it still looked nice. Also, The topic at hand wasn't something I was keen on and so I had to adjust to it. In A2 Media Studies I knew what I wanted to do even before I found out what I would be studying for my A2. I had everything organized so quick that the project went smoothly and there wasn't any significant problem. Visually my A2 is on a completely different level to my AS. In other words AS is like 720p-1080p quality work and A2 is like 2K-4K quality work. That's a huge different in size. I believe that because it was the second stage of my course the quality of effort has to be much more than the first stage.

Risk Assessment

Okay, talking of risks the very specific scene that I want to do may conjure an uproar. There's a scene when the actress playing as the main victim character gets corned to a wall and has a fresh new egg crack open on her head with all the yellowness drip down all the way to her legs and to the floor. Now the risk of this scene is that we don't want the actress to have a problem with her head after the scene has been executed. So what I did is make sure that the actress playing as the main bully character tap open the egg gently on her head. The reason for this is clearly because I don't want anyone to feel hurt after doing this particular scene. Also, I must include the fact that because its going to go on the floor we have to make sure we have the floor wiped clean before we leave the location. This is because someone later on could possibly slip and bang their heads really hard. This is why I have to ensure that there won't be any casualties whilst executing the specific scene and after the aftermath. Not to mention that the actress playing as the main bully character not pushing or hurting the victim really hard. Everything done in a gentle manner but also something that makes it feel and look realistic as possible.

Another issue that I want to address is that on the day we film the egg scene because there is a swimming pool right next to it potential non-casts could enter randomly and without actually being apart of the narrative. This could cause annoyance as a continuation of people entering can get frustrating and become bothersome. So I have to make sure the doors are locked off from the people using the swimming pool so that they have to go through a different door in order to get to the reception again. As for alternative issues that could arise could be the fact that because there are five girls with me entering an all boys school the boys could get excited and happy considering they don't have much girls in the school. That initially means that the boys could lurk around corners ready to pounce at the girls anytime asking them for their numbers or any other issues that the girls may particular not want to go through as they have their minds focused only on the music video narrative and what they have to do that day. So again I have to ensure that the girls are always safe and that no boys cause alarm or distress to these girls. In order for me to do that I have to lock the classroom that we would be shooting in because obviously knowing boys we tend to act silly around girls. Especially if we find them attractive.

Storyboard & Animatic

STORYBOARD

I will explain to you all of the main locations and which cast will be placed in that location in this post. In the opening sequence of the music video 'Reset' there will be of course the title of the artist and the title of the song name appear. They will appear flying inwards to the centre of the canvas. Approximately run for about 0:00 seconds to 0:13 seconds until the next section appears. As you can see I just wrote the word text in my storyboard so I know that the main texts will show up in the beginning and that goes without saying.

After the titles appear and we get to the first camera shot, movement or angle. Caxie and Yvana will be in a Geography classroom in Ernest Bevin College sitting down in one of the back tables of the classroom. On the table they will have their writing books, reading books and studying books out. Also, they will have pencil cases next to the books and their writing books opened with a pen or pencil in their hand writing in their books. At the same time talking to each other about what subject they like. This scene will show up a lot throughout the music video. However, it won't be in the same camera shot, movement or angle.

The next scene will be with Caxie walking outside of Burntwood School near their gates with her mobile phone out looking unhappy. This specific shot based around that particular area is to signify the aftermath of how she feels whilst battling it out with her past events inside her brain. Again there will be loads of times where this particular area will appear throughout the whole sequence of the music video.

After showing Caxie outside of Burntwood School near their gates. The next location will appear which will have Teiba sing the chorus lines to the song 'Reset'. She will be in a Forest on a sunny day so that we can capture the beautiful elements of nature. Also she will have her guitar with her so she play along to the instrumental of 'Reset'.

Then later on a shot with Justnara and Fifi walking and talking outside of the Geography classroom in which Caxie and Yvana are quietly getting on with work. At this point the bullies don't know that Caxie and Yvana are in the classroom but when they do leads to the next part of this very long scene.

Justnara will then be the first person to go inside the Geography classroom where Caxie and Yvana are quietly working. She will also be the person to motivate Fifi to bully them by quoting "Don't you have an issue with them girls?" which leads onto Fifi picking on them. After that the next location will show with artist Rubel actress Justnara and Fifi in a night shot. Artist Rubel will be performing in that section and also a scene where artist Rubel will be with Teiba sitting on logs in the forest performing 'Reset'.

Fifi will then go and start picking on Caxie and Yvana. She will push Caxie and tell her to leave the classroom because she doesn't like her. At the same time Justnara will be encouraging her to continue and do worse by verbally communicating with her and also by recording the whole bullying on her mobile phone.

After that another new location will show where Caxie is found alone this time and get's cornered by Fifi and Justnara. This time around Fifi and Justnara have already been planning a maneuver in which they crack an egg on Caxie's head. Justnara get's the egg out and Fifi cracks in on Caxie's head.

Then we go back to the classroom scene where Caxie is now cornered becasue Fifi wanted to carry on bullying her. Again Justnara continues to record it with her mobile phone. At this point Yvana comes back and tries to save her friend but gets her boobs squeezed so she quickly flees.
